• Gaze at blue to grab a moment of instant calm. Blue is the color of the ocean and the sky, so we automatically associate it with the serene feelings that come with being out in nature.
• Grab some gum Rhythmic, repetitive actions like chewing gum trigger our body’s natural relaxation response, slowing our heart rate, breathing and brain activity.
• Form a Fist Clench your fists for five seconds, then open them. You’ll relax instantly. When a muscle tenses as much as possible, it becomes able to de-tense completely.
• Sing your heart out. When we sing, we’re breathing deeply and this lowers the body’s blood pressure and heart rate, decreasing stress.
• Make someone’s day being kind to others produces a rush of feel-good chemicals in the brain, creating what’s known as helpers high. The endorphin surge boosts our mood, distracting us from the woes that stress us out.
• Plant some calm. A little green in your environment can keep stress at bay. In a study found that women who kept plants at work had less anxiety. Why? They capture our attention, giving us a mental break from negative feelings that lead to stress.

You should have seen the face of my eldest when he opened his gifts last Christmas! And then the youngest who’s only 1 yr old was mesmerized with the sounds and music he got with his new toys too! Toys these days are so much different than I had during the older days of course. Even the husband told me he never had any of those toys. I remember when I had a git given by my Godmother, it was a Barbie she gave me. She live in the US so when she went home, she got me a Barbie with tons of different dresses. It was one of the best day of my life during the younger days. But now thous is a little different because well, toys these days are getting a little more pricey but more colorful and high tech! My little boy on the other hands plays PSP and it’s his 3rd PSP. Everything seems so new. So when I saw this Medieval Building set, I thought my little boy will surely like it. They also have available Cars set and tons of toys for my youngest. I am thinking of getting him Mega Wagon and I saw it’s available in this site.They also have toys for my 6 yrs old who loves building sets. The Mega toys are so much different from the old toys me and the husband plays for sure. but they serves a great thing for sure! I’m glad toys are so much improved!

I went to the mall next door in our place and saw this Nikon D700 again. I know it’s still VERY EARLY for another gift! LOL But you see, this month marks my D80 2nd year! I have always love my D80 very much and fell in love the moment I held my hands to that baby! I still think D80 is still one of the best cameras out there. If I am not getting the D300 or D700 earlier this year, I am surely getting a new DSLR by December or who knows what I’m going to get! Being a fickle minded me, it’s always a constant change! haha

Yup, it’s the time again for insurance renewals! We hope for all the good things this New Year of course but we always have to put in mind that there are a lot of things to do. Which reminds me to get ready with tax filling, insurance renewals, and a lot of things to do. I just have to double check on the husband’s secretary for the tax filling. I know it’s still very early but I dont’ want to repeat what happened last year. Then the insurances that we need to pay off before the first quarter of the year. I already asked the husband to check on our car insurance plus the home insurance as well. Then this got me thinking about this van insurance a friend of ours asked me about. When I was reading, I realized that they offer different kinds of insurances for the whole families benefits. From home insurance, travel, car, courier, business and etc..But I am more interested with the travel insurance because we are going to be travelling this summer for a vacation with my whole family. The travel insurance that we have will expire this month so it means we have to find another one or renew that one. I might just apply at this one because they have unbeatable prices where you can always ask a quote for free. Van insurance right now is 70% OFF! and you can’t find that anywhere else! With all the nice things going on so far! It’s only January 6 and I have been cracking down from post to post! It’s always a good thing you know. But I wished I have more than 24 hours a day. That way I can finish all the things that I need to do online and offline. Online, I just got a handful of task from left to right! Which means I have to post them asap because they will expire. The good thing is, I can have enough money for pocket money when Mom will be here later this month! Yey! And I won’t ask from the husband for that part anymore. I can buy things without asking the husband too;) But offline things will have a little set back if I am always online. Maybe I will just have to double time, no more hopping from site to site when I am doing something that way I can finish things on time.

Now, I’m gonna have to start doing that and stop blabbering! hehe;)

Me and the husband has this love for collecting expensive watches. Over the years, it’s one of our investments. None in our family can understand our love for designer items actually. They can never understand the idea of buying expensive items when there are actually cheaper ones. But how could anyone understand when they are really expensive? haha Seriously though, the husband has always been a quality over quantity person. And I am just lucky that he is like that because if not, I won’t be buying off designers items. And one of the watches he owned is this citizen watch that isn’t too much and for a budget wise, this is a watch you can always rely on! They have a long history with humble beginnings that is in the market for 85 years! Right now they are celebrating this Ecologically Friendly Timekeeping watches! I might check it as well. Maybe I can find something for my Dad. He loves this signature.And for the longest time, he’s still using the Citizen watch I gave him. Since Valentines Day will be next month, I thought thinking of gift ideas as this early is a good thing! I know holidays was just over and here I am again with shopping thoughts! haha But hey, it’s always nice to think early you know! Check out their collections. Really affordable ones if you ask me!

So how was your weekend? Ours was simple and quiet. But we had an early walk last Saturday morning and stopped by at Denny’s before going to the Post Office. I had some undelivered mails so we picked them up as well. We had the bluest winter sky last Saturday. Getting really cold but living abroad for so many years that has 4 seasons, I thought I am used to it. But there are just times, I can’t take it anymore. Going out with full heavy jacket, boots,  doubled long-sleeve and leggings can be not so fun at all! I just hope there will be more sunshine this coming days. I see it’s only 5 to 7 C.. so it’s better!

How would you like to have your own house not to used the old thing keys anymore? I like the cards like the hotels are using because it looks really cool. But I am not sure if I am comfortable with using my fingerprint to open the door! That would still be weird, right? Not sure. Maybe I am just used to using the keys for the longest time! But since we are moving towards the 21st century, I supposed everything and I mean everything will changed in no time. And let’s start with this keyless lock. I don’t need to have the keys and not worry if I will lost it or something because I have my own fingers to use! But that would be really creepy! Because what if you are rich? Someone would cut off your fingernails because it’s the key to your own home! haha Seriously, I still find it cool. If you are interested, you can check keyless lock that I came across! I was just joking the husband if he wants to change our locks instead of the old same thing. He lost a few keys already and he needs to have this keyless lock for sure! This one is also helpful because to those homeowners who have primary school kids. But still, I am not still comfortable. But doesn’t mean, I won’t used one if our house has this features;)

I have a lot of things to do online this Monday! I have this ideas in my mind that I am a little skeptical to do because the husband said there won’t be any big purchases until December again! The question is, can I really wait that long? Besides, it will be for the whole family. Not just my personal gain..hehe But whatever it will be and if ever it will push through, I’m definitely telling ya! For now, I am really concerned with the stereo in the car. It’s acting a little weird. Must be with my boys playing with it. I already told the husband because he was the one who noticed with it first. Guess we are going to have a new one for that! And after perusing the net, I saw this sirius sportster 4 that is on sale right now! And I think this is what the husband would like to.I’m not sure with the specs but I read through their site and read that this one has great features. Remote control is also included, vehicle antenna, the universal car dock. The feature that I seem to like is the 30 presets available that can store my favorite channels. And has NFL, NHL, and NBA channels too! I’ll refer this to the husband.

The husband has been asking me if we want to go up North and maybe spend a day or two at the nearest Ski resort! Since I am not really a fan with that thing and I don’t even know how to ski. I will just say maybe next time or when his bestfriend-boss will be here for a visit sometime next month! I have tried skiing a few years ago. And trust me, if you’re only a first timer you don’t want to do it! haha You need to have a lesson first in order to enjoy the beauty of the slopes!

And the husband would surely like this;) I still want a Wii Fit though but didn’t buy it because I’m not sure if I can use it. This one however is good for you if you want a couple of broken legs! Just kidding;)

If you are one of my friends at Flickr, you sure saw some of my photos that I posted during my birthday and ranting about my very straight hair! Being a person who has a very straight hair, it can be disappointing when I just want to have my hair very simple. I meant the normal hair you know. One of the reasons why I let my hair grow and had a long hair for 5 years is the very reason of having a totally straight hair like it has been re-bonded or something. But when I decided to cut it short last Fall, I forgot about it for a moment. Not that it’s growing, it’s giving me headache again. I don’t even want to have a photo taken because of this. LOL Now, I am thinking if I really want to just have another trip to the salon and have this hair cut again!

Anyway, I might just go to to this hair salon chalont that I saw online. Many have been there and said it has great service with experienced beauticians and hairstylists! Since they also offers great products for all your beauty needs, I think this hair salon chalont color is the answer of my problem! They have hair stylists, nail technicians, estheticians, massage therapists and has newest salon items that will make you pampered and more relaxed! A full service salon chalfont that has friendly and experienced staff to boot! Will check more about this site;)

I still have to update a few of my site. It’s crazy updating all of them at once actually but I have to start a nice year and it includes my sites as well;) I have been thinking of what’s a nice things to post here other than computer/technology stuff, some tips and anything in between. I have really a hard time posting techie/gadgets because I am more into shopping and some women wants things! haha I am not sure too if there are actually regular readers here. Anyway, I might just keep what I have been doing here and not confused myself..:D
