We just got back from a day escapade 2 hrs from the city and I just love the place! It’s refreshing and there are a lot of fun things to do around the area! They even have golf course to suit your fancy! They have spa for those tired body and soul. Nice accommodations if you love to stay overnight! I love the pool because the kids had a fun day there! I was very tempted to get a few local crafts. Reminds me to check on stone sinks after seeing the function kitchen! Will try to post pics later:)

To those travel bugs, this is for you specially if you are traveling to new time zones..
1. Drink plenty of water as you travel to your destination and after you arrive. If you are dehydrated, it will take you longer to adapt to the new time zone.
2. Sleep on the plane to be alert and awake if you will be arriving in the morning or early afternoon. Stay awake on the plane to be sleepy upon arrival if you’ll reach your destination in the evening or at night.
3. If you arrive at your final destination in the morning, try to stay awake all day. Drink small amounts of coffee, tea or caffeinated soda to wake you up (too much caffeine will further disrupt your sleep cycle). Keep napping to a minimum.
4. If you arrive in the evening, go to sleep at your normal bedtime according to the new time zone. That is, if your bedtime at home is 11 p.m., go to bed at that time in your new location. You may want to ask your doctor to recommend an over-the-counter sleeping aid.
5. If your trip is shorter than 48 hours, schedule meetings according to your home time zone. If the new time zone is 3 hours ahead of your normal time, schedule late morning or afternoon meetings when you will be awake and alert. For example, a 1 p.m. meeting is at 10 a.m. according to your internal clock.
6. Expose yourself to bright light and exercise in the morning in the new time zone. This helps reset your internal clock.
7. Eat small meals throughout the day while you adjust to the new mealtimes. Keep a snack by your bed if your regular dinnertime occurs in the middle of the night in the new time zone.
8. Give your body time to make the switch. If you feel very drowsy during the day, take a nap for up to one hour, but make sure it’s before evening. Avoid pushing yourself too hard during the first few
days.
Tips & Warnings
* To minimize the effects of jet lag, start adjusting your internal clock before you depart. Go to sleep an hour earlier or later on the days leading up to your departure.
* Generally, it is more difficult to adjust to a time zone when you are traveling east, because you must wake up and go to sleep earlier than you’re used to.

He’s been working a lot for the past months. He just arrived from another business trip and now he told me that he need to stay a while in Jp for another series of tests for the company’s software development! Tell you what, I’ve been pissed off many times but what can I do? I just hope his official vacation leave will be approved so that we could at least spend a week vacation with the lil boys! They missed their Daddy very much and they’ve been asking how many days til they could see him. Specially that my eldest always see kids Dad’s in the school. Sigh..Anyway, I was looking for travel and beach deals and saw this Resort in Myrtle Beach which would be perfect for a getaway for me and the boys. I’m not sure we could travel that far these days considering it’s school time already. But I am really interested with this Myrtle Beach Resort. Aside from the beautiful scenery and well, the beach..The Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach is probably the best one I would love to stay! I’ll see what we could do about this travel plans. I hope it will be sooner…
I just got a message from a good friend that they’re traveling with the whole family abroad. I am just envious! hehe I just wish the husband has time for a vacation even a few days for us. He’s been traveling a lot this year and even for the cooler months his schedule is fully book already. I was joking him that he’s not missing us:) Of course, I am used to being left behind with the kids while he’s in business trips. Just that this year is a lot busier for him. Sometimes, I wish that he work near us that way we could be together as always as we want to. But then again, sometimes we can’t have it all. So to forget the long distance relationship worries I was looking for vacation accommodation just in case. And saw this Myrtle Beach Resort that offers the comfy way of living while you’re in vacation. It is a perfect place for a beachfront accommodation. You’ll surely find it relaxing after a hard time at work! I’ve heard so much about this Myrtle Beach Resorts from friends. And hopefully someday we could visit and check out Myrtle Beach Accomodations. I’ve read in their site that they offer almost everything in the place. One of my ultimate dream in life is to travel the world! It might take me a while to do that because well, with money and time are tight right now, I’m not sure if I can do a lot of traveling anytime soon. But somehow and someday, I will do that. I’ve been to a few places already and I love the idea, the fun, the thrill and the sense of adventure it gives me! Specially if it’s my first time in that city! It’s truly amazing! So while I was looking around for great deals for a future trip of course with my lil family. I came across at this Tenerife holidays through ulookubook site that offers tons of cheap holiday getaways! I love that you can book everything in one site. Affordable starting prices, and even beautiful places that you never thought you could go to that place! You can check out where to go on a holiday first. Then from there, you go check for cheaper flights and then the hotel where you can stay at the best accommodation at a very affordable rates! I always find booking online much cheaper! I’m going to take a trip this weekend and it means that I need to get ready my luggage! The one that I brought with me was big enough for my things but then I will bring along a few of my old stuff because I don’t want to buy a lot of things back there. So, I’m thinking of using the husband’s luggage but he’s off for another travel next week too! I wish I bring the other luggage back home. Sigh..Now, I will look around and see if I can still get one online. I found this hartmann luggage and tumi luggage very affordable. And since I will be leaving this weekend and there will be no enough time to wait. So, I asked the husband if he can wait it and I will just bring the huge blue luggage instead. I’m happy to see that some of the luggage’s on this site offers SALE! Tons of brands to choose from and they even have desk accessories and travel accessories! We’ll see what I will get. I also saw this briggs and riley luggage and I think the husband will like this!
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Who wants to do some playing? For some, like me and the husband loves to go to the beach and then some others like to go to golfing and enjoying the beauty of nature! Unfortunately, I do not like golf. But that doesn’t mean I don’t know about it. My father n law used to play golf until his latest diagnosed. We used to go with him. So, when I saw this Myrtle Beach Golf, I know he will love it! But it would be impossible now for him to go there. I will ask the husband if he is up on something like this. Because I saw really neat Myrtle Beach Golf Packages that is to die for! Specially if you are so into this game, you will love the stay! And if you aren’t into this Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations. You will not get board! While the husband’s are busy playing golf, you can indulge yourself to a great attractions around the area. There are restaurants that you can indulge. After all, what is vacation if you can taste good food! At Golf Myrtle Beach, you can find more than just about golf! Because they also have a great nightlife for the couples after a hard day at play! Check it out;)

Photographing a Vacation Without Annoying Your Family
Posted on Jun 29, 2009 under Tips, Travel | No CommentI love eHow! They offer tons of very useful tips. And I always drop by to check something new and old to read! And since summer is here, I’m sure most of you peeps are gearing for a vacation! So, here are some helpful tips on how to take shots without annoying the little ones specially:) This is good specially if you love taking photos and traveling! Can’t beat that!
1.This is hard to deal with, so get ready because the first step is to leave your laptop, card readers and non-vacation paraphernalia at home. Take your cameras, cell phone and lots of film or memory cards, but leave the computer at home. Nothing is more irritating to family members than to watch you sort and edit your images during downtime. You are supposed to be relaxing, so leave the editing for when you get home. You will have a better vacation and so will they.
2. By all means, take pictures of the family. This is my wife and daughter years ago in Paris, a very important image for me. Know when to stop, however. One happy photo like this is worth a thousand forced smiles in front of monuments. The next vital rule you need to break is to NOT take your camera everywhere. You are not covering your vacation for “Newsweek” and you don’t need to lug your camera to every dinner and night out. I know we all learn to carry our cameras at all times, but for the sake of your family, leave it behind sometimes.
3. Plan your photography junkets. My wife likes to sleep longer than I do and early morning light IS the best. Plan to get up early and get to your photo target. Plan your target location the night before, so you can be efficient. Shoot until you are satisfied and bring some coffee and croissants back to the hotel room for you to enjoy as your spouse awakes. You get pictures of some local color and nobody gets hurt.
4. Make sure you get some images the family will like when you are out on your junkets. This will make them like your photography more when you make them look at the pictures. Take photographs that “describe” your location. This was taken at the famous Kukenhoff Gardens in Amsterdam. How could you go to Holland and not take pictures of tulips? If you are in the Midwest, photograph the cornfields; in Colorado take pictures of the mountains. Take pictures that will help you recall the fun you had on your vacation
5. Take the postcard pictures. Every location has some key sites that you must take just to remind yourself that you were there. In Paris it is the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame. In New York it is the city skyline. In this picture is Place de Armes in Montreal. These key sites will help you remember your trip, and if you go a lot of places you will have your own “postcard” pictures from around the world. It’s your vacation, so enjoy it. They are your memories, so record them carefully. Most of all, they are your family–so be kind and considerate.
Have fun!!!
With summer breeze, I bet you can’t get away with the thoughts of going somewhere with your family to the beach! Beach and hotel promos are definitely not a surprise because well, everyone wants to have some fun after the whole year around work and of course the very cold winter time during the past months! If only I have the luxury to visit a few new places this summer, Myrtle Beach Resort is a top of my list. Aside from the many others of course! With great offers and accommodation, I won’t say no for that! Right now, this Towers on the Groove Resort will open its doors and you can get an Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resort with a very low prices. Since they have a promo and you can also win for a 4 night stay in a bedroom condo! It would be fun for the whole family! With the comfort and luxury, add to that that it’s not that pricey compared to other resorts. It’s just getting better and better! I’ve heard so much about this Myrtle Beach Resorts and hopefully me and my boys could go there and just enjoy the sun and the beach! So, how about you? Where are you heading this warm weather, eh? ![]()
I got it from eHow. Thought most of you peeps out there is looking for a fab time this summer!
While most of us are used to winging from coast to coast in a few hours-days and weeks, there’s something romantic about a cross-country road trip. Be sure to stop and see the sights along the way, and take a charming byway - rather than the highway - once in a while so you can experience America’s small towns and back roads.
1. Decide when to go. If you have no time constraints, time your trip to coincide with special events or festivals along the way, or with seasons that provide opportunities for special sight-seeing or recreational activities.
2. Buy a map or purchase a software program and plan your route. Also consider joining the American Automobile Association (AAA) and obtaining TourBooks, which are invaluable resources for planning a cross-country trip.
3. Consider joining clubs such as AAA and AARP, which provide lodging and attraction discounts at various destinations. You will save money in the long run. Carry your membership card with you on the trip.
4. Make a list of sights you definitely want to see. Figure out how far off the beaten path you’ll have to go and calculate the time you’ll likely spend sight-seeing. Figure this into your daily travel distance and time.
5. Make camping or lodging reservations before you go if you want to be guaranteed a place to stay every night. If you prefer a certain chain, call and ask for a free national directory to be sent to you well in advance of your trip.
6. Have your car fully serviced before you leave. Ask your mechanic if there any potential problems you should be aware of. Plan to bring tools, a spare tire, a fan belt, and in summer, spare radiator hoses with you on your trip.
7. Buy some trip food. Nutritious snacks and plenty of water are extremely important when you are going to spend long hours in the car. Try to keep the junk food to a minimum.
8. Pack up and leave early in the day with a full tank of gas. Drive in short shifts of 1 to 4 hours, with frequent rest breaks. Continue until your gas tank is half-empty, then stop and refill.
9. Try to limit your daily driving to no more than 600 miles - or 10 hours - per day. Use this formula when scheduling lodging stops.
Enjoy and have fun!
